I was asked to design an illustrated map about the gardens of Florence. For this piece I was inspired by the so-called “Commesso” or “Florentine mosaic”, a special kind of mosaic where cut pieces of perfectly-shaped stone fit together with each other to create a beautiful and elegant design.
